Research Technician

Scott is Dr. Bennett’s technician and lab manager. He is an OSU Alumni (M.S., EEOB, 2016) with a background in biogeochemistry. Before coming to the Bennett lab in 2018, his previous research spanned a variety of topics from how land use impacts watershed Carbon dynamics, to Emerald Ash Borer invasions, to the impacts of artificial night lighting on algal physiology. He is currently working on the pilot phase of a multi-stage project that aims to better understand how the microbiome of desert soils from the Western Slope of the Rockies are adapted to locally toxic levels of Selenium.
